Liverpool will be emboldened in their push to win silverware this season by the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to the fold.
The Englishman will certainly need a few games to regain the sharpness he displayed before his ACL injury 11 months ago.
That said, Chambo’s injury return is ‘like a new signing’ as we’ve often heard Jurgen Klopp say about Adam Lallana and co. in the past.
When asked about the 25-year-old’s fitness, Klopp said: “Oxlade, I heard nothing new about it so there’s no rush now.
“Of course not [available] for the weekend anyway, but in general after international break, he will be 100 per cent fit.”
Chambo was Liverpool’s best midfielder last season, with his presence particularly important in the buildup to the Champions League final.
His absence in Kiev is something that isn’t spoken about enough as it had as detrimental an effect as Mohamed Salah’s unfortunate injury 30 minutes into the final.
With him back very soon, Liverpool will be propelled onto domestic and continental glory this season.
