According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy will not let manager Mauricio Pochettino leave for Manchester United for even £50 million.
It has been reported by the British tabled that Tottenham boss Pochettino is United’s number one choice to become the club’s new manager at the end of the season.
United are ready to pay Pochettino’s remaining contract value of £34m and an additional £16m, according to the report.
“Levy has told friends he regards the club’s Argentinian boss so highly he cannot risk losing him,” adds the report in The Sun.
From The Sun’s report, it seems that Tottenham chairman Levy does not want to let go of Pochettino at any cost.
It is a very strong stance, and one that Tottenham fans will find very encouraging.
After all, Pochettino has been key in Spurs’ transformation over the past few years from a club that trying to challenge for the Premier League to one that regularly fights for the title.
United are a bigger club than Tottenham, but Pochettino has good thing going at the North London outfit, and perhaps he himself should resist all temptation to move to the Red Devils in the summer of 2019 if they come calling.
