Real Madrid ‘accept’ Arsenal bid for James Rodriguez as Man City midfielder makes La Liga move

Here’s a full roundup of the latest Premier League transfer news for Monday, January 7.

Adrien Tameze could become Cardiff City’s first signing of the January transfer window this week.

The Nice midfielder is one of Neil Warnock’s top January transfer targets, and it’s understood that the Bluebirds have lodged a bid for the 24-year-old.

And the Bluebirds will hope to fend off interest from the likes of Bournemouth and Watford to secure the signing of Tameze, who has featured 20 times in all competitions for French side Nice this season.

In addition to Tameze, Cardiff are also hoping to bring out-of-favour Chelsea man Victor Moses to South Wales on loan this month.

The 28-year-old – who worked under Warnock at Crystal Palace – has featured just six times in all competitions under Maurizio Sarri so far this term.

Reports have claimed that Real Madrid have accepted a bid from Arsenal for James Rodriguez.

The Colombian has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu and is currently on loan at Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

And our colleagues at the Mirror have reported that Arsenal have had a £63m bid for Rodriguez accepted by Real Madrid, who allowed the 27-year-old to join the Bavarians on a two-year loan deal in July 2017.

Rodriguez has scored three goals in his 11 appearances for Bayern Munich so far this season.

Man City have confirmed that Brahim Diaz has joined Real Madrid.

The midfielder had been in the Citizens’ youth set-up since he was 14 but was struggling for regular game time under Pep Guardiola.

And on Sunday night, the reigning Premier League champions announced that Diaz had made the switch to the Spanish capital for a fee believed to be in the region of £15m.

Chelsea will turn to Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani to solve their striker problem, according to reports.

The Express have claimed that Sarri’s side are lining up a £50m swoop for the Uruguay international.

And Cavani could be the man Chelsea turn to to bolster their Premier League title hopes.
