Liverpool could finally be about to offload Lazar Markovic over three-and-a-half years since his last competitive appearance for the club.
Markovic – who arrived from Benfica for £20million in the summer of 2014 – played 34 games in his first season at Anfield, scoring three goals.
But the final one of those games, a 2-1 win over QPR in May 2015, was his last competitive game for the Reds.
The Serbian has been on loan moves to Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull City and Anderlecht since then, and after a permanent move to the latter broke down in the summer he is now lined up for a move to Besiktas, who have got closer to a move according to Turkish publication Star, via Sport Witness .
Woodburn lined up to follow in Wilson’s footsteps
Ben Woodburn could follow in Harry Wilson’s footsteps from last season and join Hull City on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
Wilson – who is currently impressing at Derby County this season – spent the latter half of 2017/18 at KCOM Stadium, scoring seven goals in 14 games as he helped keep his side in the Championship.
And now Goal.com report that fellow Welshman Woodburn is being targeted by the Tigers for a similar move after his spell at Sheffield United in the first half of this season proved unsuccessful.

Chirivella on the way out?
That same Goal.com report from Neil Jones states that Pedro Chirivella could be about to end his stay on Merseyside.
The Spaniard made five first-team appearances in the 2015/16 season but none since, and he’s set to leave after turning down a switch to Rosenborg last summer.
Celtic, Swansea and Nottingham Forest have all been linked with him.
