LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp insists Roberto Firmino could start at Everton, while also discussing dropping Jordan Henderson.
The Reds travel to Goodison Park for the Merseyside derby on Sunday afternoon.
A win for Liverpool would send them back to the top of the Premier League table ahead of Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s City beat Bournemouth 1-0 on Saturday to leapfrog Liverpool into first place.
There were fears Liverpool would be without Firmino, who hobbled off during their 0-0 draw at Manchester United last week.
However, Klopp has revealed the Brazilian could be fit to face their arch rivals on Sunday.
When asked for an update on Firmino at his press conference on Friday afternoon, Klopp replied: “Firmino has been out there and running in training yesterday.
“He is very positive but that is Bobby’s nature.
“I don’t see any more of them being in contention.
“It looks really good but I don’t know for tomorrow.”
Klopp was also quizzed on his decision to bench Henderson for Liverpool’s clash with Watford this week.
The Liverpool boss and the midfielder had a heated conversation during their draw at United, which led to Henderson getting dropped.
And Klopp has revealed he’s more than happy for Henderson to want to play every game in the title run in.
“I know he was not happy but he was completely okay,” he added.
“As a player of Liverpool you know that you don’t play all of the games and that’s a normal reaction.
“After the United game I told him it was nothing to do with how he’s playing because of my reaction.”
