Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson will miss Sunday’s trip to Fulham and almost certainly England’s two Euro 2020 qualifiers later this month.
The Reds captain rolled his left ankle early in Wednesday’s 3-1 Champions League win over Bayern Munich and manager Jurgen Klopp does not expect him to return until after the international break.
“With Hendo we make further assessment and it’s serious enough probably to rule him out of the weekend and the international break will be long enough hopefully to bring him back,” said Klopp.
“It’s a little one with the ankle, how it looked in the first place. It was the best scan we could get, I would say, but still not good enough. Not good but okay.”

Reds back among Europe’s elite
Liverpool learned their European fate on Friday morning after the draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Champions League took place.
The Reds will face Porto over two legs in the last eight, with the winners of the tie landing either Manchester United or Barcelona in the semi-finals.
