The Gunners are keen on signing the Croatia international, who has asked to leave San Siro this month.
Perisic was left out of the Inter lineup by coach Luciano Spalletti for the weekend fixture with Torino and Arsenal are keen to take him on loan this month, with an option to buy him on a permanent basis in the summer.
However, Inter value the 29-year-old at over £35million and Marotta insists the Nerazzurri are yet to be contacted with regards a switch in the next two days.
Perisic has scored 34 times in 143 games for Inter since joining from Wolfsburg in 2015.
On Sunday, Spalletti ruled out the prospect of Perisic leaving on loan this month and insisted he is happy to leave the Croatian out if he isn’t willing to contribute.
“It’s quite simple, he told Sky Sport Italia.
“Players can say what they want, but they are employees, they have signed contracts and in order to leave, they need someone willing to pay for them.
“You can’t leave for free and with your salary paid by someone else.
If, as Beppe Marotta said, he doesn’t want to play, then clearly he’ll be left out.
