Gary Lineker singled out Romelu Lukaku for special praise after the striker helped to fire Manchester United to a 3-2 victory over Southampton on Saturday.
The Red Devils headed into the game knowing that a win would move them back into the top four after Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at Tottenham earlier in the day.
Yan Valery had given the away side the lead in the 26th minute – but Andreas Pereira levelled for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men in the 53rd minute.
Pereira then set up Lukaku to make it 2-1, before James Ward-Prowse equalised with just 15 minutes left to play.
However, it was Lukaku who had the final say when he netted the eventual winner in the 88th minute at Old Trafford to keep Solskjaer’s side in fine form in the Premier League.
England legend Lineker was active on social media throughout the game.
After Pereria’s equaliser, Lineker wrote on Twitter: “Sensational equaliser from Pereira which struck exactly the same part of the net as Valery’s stunner.”
And then after Lukaku’s first goal, the former striker tweeted: “Lukaku strikes and Ole’s wheels showing no sign of falling off.”
And after Lukaku’s winner, he added: “Lukaku with another beauty. What a game. Don’t miss it on @BBCMOTD.”
