Marco Silva could welcome back Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman for the visit of Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Both full-backs have been out through injury and may be fit enough to play a part in the match against Maurizio Sarri’s men.
However, Phil Jagielka is a doubt for the Toffees whose opponents are set to add Gonzalo Higuain back into their starting line up.
The Argentinian missed out on the mid-week demolition of Dynamo Kiev that saw the Blues win their Europa League tie by an aggregate score of 8-0.
Silva will also be without Kurt Zouma with the Frenchman inellgiable to play against his parent club. Yerry Mina could be thrown into the team in his absence.
“Coleman keeps working,” said the Portuguese in his pre-match press conference, as reported by Liverpool Echo. “It’s ok. Leighton also. Small problem with Jagielka.”
On Mina, he added: “He can get to be a really important player for us as a club. We believe in him and we spend the money we spent on him because we believe he could be a very good solution for us.
“He has to adapt as fast as possible to this competition and the big challenges he will have every match but he has to be more consistent, and he has to have some luck.”
