Ed Woodward ‘identifies’ four Manchester United transfer targets

Manchester United have identified four transfer targets for the summer window, according to reports.

United are looking to strengthen their side at the end of the current season as they look to bolster their options ahead of launching a fresh Premier League title challenge.

Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is looking at the options available to the club in the summer transfer window and has reportedly drawn up a four-man shortlist of players to sign.

According to a report from The Mirror United are looking to sign a new central defender as well as two full-backs and a right winger.

It is suggested Kalidou Koulibaly remains the club’s number one transfer target if they can convince Napoli to part with him for an estimated fee of £90m.

Elsewhere, it is suggested the club are keen on a move for Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez as a versatile left-back with Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic viewed as a similar option on the right.

Finally it is reported the club are still keeping tabs on Douglas Costa with the suggestion he would be interested in leaving Juventus at the end of the season.

In terms of other transfer news, United have reportedly lined up a move to sign Benfica starlet Joao Felix in the summer transfer window.

The Sun suggest United scouts are keeping close tabs on the Portuguese youngster with the view of signing him at the end of the current season.

According to the report United scouts have been watching Felix all season and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to have been handed glowing reports.
