Spanish side Real Betis have been contacted by agents of Fernando Llorente over a move, ABC report.
The Spanish news outlet claim Llorente has been presented to them as a potential January option by intermediaries on the player’s behalf.
Llorente’s contract expires at the end of this season and he is unlikely to sign a new deal.
ABC report Betis are not expecting to make a move for the striker, but see it as a complement to their project that Llorente is interested in joining.
While Betis may not want to move, others are likely to be interested in a former Spain international striker who has a big profile in his homeland.
Llorente has struggled for game time during the last 18 months for Tottenham, and is only selected when Harry Kane is unfit, or Tottenham are desperate.
He would not be a great loss to Tottenham mid-season, but he would need replacing all the same, and Spurs would have to pay more, than any fee they could gain for selling the veteran striker on.
