The Daily Star are reporting Pochettino is interested in bringing Manchester United outcast Eric Bailly to North London in January.
Arsenal are also said to be keen on landing the defender’s signature, meaning the two rivals will go head to head.
Bailly seems to have been frozen out by Mourinho at United and could push for a move in the new year to get more game time.
The Ivorian has started just five games this season, and would likely play more minutes at either London club.
Tottenham are without Jan Vertonghen for a while, and only have young Juan Foyth as a back up centre back.
Bailly was removed in the game against Newcastle last weekend, a match in which Paul Pogba finished the 90 minutes at centre back.
United will probably want to recuperate the majority of the £30m they paid for the defender.
Spurs will continue to keep tabs.
