That’s according to bookies BetStars who reckon the Argentine chief is an outside bet to move across London.
Director of Trading Ian Marmion said: “With Antonio Conte almost certainly on his way out of Stamford Bridge, Mauricio Pochettino has emerged as a shock contender to be Chelsea’s next permanent manager.
“The Tottenham manager can be found at 5/1 to take over the reins at Stamford Bridge this summer, however his odds are still behind the market leaders, Maurizio Sarri and Luis Enrique. The Napoli boss is the favourite at 3/1, whilst former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is also in contention at 4/1.
“Argentina’s Jorge Sampaoli and Monaco’s Leonardo Jardim are also in the mix at 8/1 and 10/1 respectively, with other candidates including Massimiliano Allegri, who seems to have committed his future to Juventus, at 12/1 and Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone at 16/1.
“Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with Chelsea”
”In what would represent a sensational move, Blues legend John Terry can be found at 20/1 to replace Conte at his beloved club.”
However, despite the speculation Starsport understands Pochettino is ready to snub the Blues.
Pochettino hinted over the weekend that his future hinges on the transfer kitty Spurs are willing to give him.
He claimed club supremo Daniel Levy needed to “take risks and be brave” to win trophies.
Despite Pochettino’s outburst it is believed Levy is ready to back the former Southampton manager.
The 46-year-old is happy at Spurs and is keen to continue building a squad capable of competing for Premier League glory.
